VISA ISSUANCE
In order for you to enter Greece and submit an application for the issuance of your residence permit you need to obtain a specific type of visa by submitting the required documentation to the competent Greek Consulate. The processing time of your visa issuance depends on the country that you are located. For example, many Greek Consulates all over the world which are familiar with this kind of mobility can issue your visa the same day of your appointment. Some of them need two to three weeks for the issuance depending also on their workload. It’s very important for us to contact the competent Greek Consulate at an early stage in order to schedule an appointment for you on time.

RESIDENCE PERMIT
Upon the issuance of your visa, you will be able to enter Greece. You will receive a special entry stamp in your passport once you enter the first Schengen country during your travel to Greece. We are going to coordinate with you for the preparation and delivery of the documentation and we will run the process for the submission of your application to the Greek Ministry of Migration in Athens. One of the most important documents in the whole process is your employment agreement with the Greek Company, which can be prepared or checked by us.
Following our submission, you are going to receive the respective proof, the so-called E-Certificate.
In order for you to be able to start your employment in Greece you need to issue a Greek Tax Identification/Registration (TIN) number and a Greek Social Security number. The processing time of both issuances is approx. three to seven working days. Υour employer may then declare your employment to the Greek Ministry of Labour and receive the hiring document (E3).
At this point you can start your employment in Greece.
At a second stage (approx. two to three months later) and upon Ministry’s request we are going to accompany you for the submission of your biometric data to the Ministry of Migration in Athens. This is the last step on your Immigration process. However, in order for the Ministry to issue your residence permit, a special register number to Greece’s Social Security System needs to be issued and submitted too (the so-called AMA number).
The residence permit will be issued and delivered to you upon arrangement.
Your residence permit will be valid for two years starting retroactively from the date of submission to the Ministry of Migration, as described above.

*Please note that the social security regime for intra-corporate transferees in Greece need to be examined ad hoc. The Ministry of Migration has already addressed this issue by accepting a private insurance certificate with specific coverages as per law predicts, however it remains an open issue to the Greek Ministry of Labour.
